Registration Info

Registration
Your EMLL experience begins with registering your child to play. You can find the Registration link on our Homepage. Use the Division tab for more information and to help determine the right age division for your child.

When?

This is dependent on how many athletes we have in total in each of the divisions.  We need to be able to use our field’s resources as efficiently as possible, so we don’t finalize our schedule until we have a good idea of these figures.  If you register and there ends up being a conflict, we are happy to issue a full refund, provided a request is made before Opening Day.

Co-op Practice Model:

East Madison Little League has adopted a new format for our practices to better serve the needs of our athletes and our coaches.  Each Division practices together as a large group, instead of as individual teams.  This allows all of our players an opportunity to learn from all of our coaches.  It allows our coaches to learn from each other as well as pass on their knowledge and passion to a larger number of athletes.  It fosters an environment of collaboration and most importantly: nobody gets left behind.

Within a few days of completing your registration, your athlete will be assigned to a CO-OP PRACTICE TEAM.  The easiest way to stay updated and your practice schedule is to download the SportsEngine App (if you have the app from previous years and haven’t been assigned to a CO-OP PRACTICE TEAM within a few days of completing registration, it may be necessary to delete the app and reinstall it.).  It is free and easy to use.

Drafts
The coaches for each division will convene to select their teams. Every child will be placed on a team. Once the teams have been assembled, the SportsEngine App will update with your team’s information, roster and schedule.  Your athlete's head coach will also contact you--usually this occurs within one or two days after tryouts/draft day. The easiest way to stay updated is to download the SportsEngine App.

Scholarships
We want every child to be able to play baseball or softball. For parents who can't afford to pay the registration fee, we offer scholarships. Full scholarships will be considered with a written application and must be approved by the League.  There is a link on the homepage to apply online.
